Apprentice Literary Society

The Lewistown Library was house with the Apprentice Literary Society for a time before merging with the ALS in 18??

Mifflin County Library at South Brown Street.
Because of the weight of all the books, the library had to more to a larger, more stable facility.  The library moved into the Malta Home in 1955.

123 North Wayne Street

A new library building was completed and opened at 123 North Wayne Street in Lewistown in 1975.

The Children's Library was added in 1978 after being housed on the upper level for 3 years.
