The All-Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion by Fannie Flagg

Fannie Flagg never fails to tickle my funny bone and this novel is no exception. Her loveable, laughable main character, Sookie Poole is a southern girl with an overbearing mother who drives her crazy! Sookie accidentally discovers a secret from her mother's past that leads her on a quest to discover her own true identity. Not only do I like a good chuckle, but I also enjoy historical fiction and this book includes lots of historical information about the pioneering women pilots of the 1940's. A great, entertaining, and educational read.
