First Monday Book Discussion Group: An adult book discussion group which meets the first Monday of every other month at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Lewistown branch of the Mifflin Co. Early Literacy Training  Well-known Mifflin County educator, Rose Massey, will present this training entitled "Literacy Activities in File Folders", focusing on the following six points:  1) Visual Discrimination  2) Eye-hand coordination  3) Recognizing letter sounds  4) Recognizing alphabet letters  5) Sequencing pictures to tell a story  6) Retelling classic sequential stories.  Please note:  Teachers will receive continuing education credits for this workshop.
