Pre-school Story Time

Pre-school Story Time is 45 minutes filled with funny puppet and flannel board stories for children age 3–5 years olds and their grown-up.  Each week we will do three stories and a craft based on the animal theme for that week.

Story Time runs for 6 weeks and older and younger siblings are always welcome. 

There are two sessions of Pre-school Story Time offered at the Lewistown library, beginning Tuesday, Apr 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. or Tuesday, Apr 2, 2013 at 6:00 p.m..  Please choose the time that suits you best.  Registration is limited and required.  First day to register is Tuesday, Mar 19, 2013.

Euro-gaming

These European-style specialty games teach strategy, skill and interaction!  For all ages 8 and up, but adults are more than welcome.  Group meets the second Saturday of each month, beginning April 13, at 9:30 a.m. in the Community Room of the Lewistown library.  Bring snacks!

 Toddler Time

Toddler Time is a fun, interactive story time for little ones age 18 months to 3-and-a-half years old.  Each session lasts for 30 minutes.  Toddler Time runs for 6 weeks and older and younger siblings are always welcome. 

Two sessions of Toddler Time with Miss Susan are offered at the Lewistown Library beginning on: Wednesday, Apr 3, 2013 @ 10 a.m. OR  Wednesday, Apr 3, 2013 @ 11 a.m.

Baby Story Time is a twenty minute story time for babies (age newborn to 20 months) and their grown-up. Because we know that reading at an early age helps with language development, we will read books, sing, and learn finger plays.  Older siblings are always welcome. Baby story time lasts for 6 consecutive weeks.

There will be one session of Baby Story Time, at the Lewistown branch, beginning on:

Library Play Group

Library Play Group is a play group for little tots ages one to three years old.  We will play for an hour and then sing and learn new finger stories.  Siblings are welcome.  (Toys are age appropriate for younger children.)  We usually meet the first Friday of each month--but during the summer this changes. 

We will meet from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the following dates during the summer months:
      Friday, May 3; Thursday, June 6; Wednesday, July 3; Thursday, August 1.

While the children play, grown-ups can talk, drink coffee and play too!  Feel free to bring snacks (enough for everyone, please!) and the library will provide coffee for the grown-ups!  Registration is not necessary at this time...just come! 

Junior Book Group
Junior book group, led by Ms. Linda Mohler, is held at the Lewistown branch and is for youth age 9-14.  The group chooses a book that we read and discuss.  Junior Book Group usually lasts about half an hour.  The book that we read for the month is given to you as a gift, but you must attend the meetings in order to receive the next book.  No registration required--just come!
