Cards are available to residents of Mifflin County.
When applying for a card, you must show proof of your current address.
Children must be at least five years of age to apply for a library card.
The application must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Youth
ages 15 and younger are required to have a parent or guardian's
signature to obtain a library card. Parent must be
present.
The
parent/guardian must have a valid library card free of fines/fees to sign for
the child's/youth's card.
Application forms are available at all library branches.
There
is a two-month probationary period on your card. During
this time, you may check out two items at a time. At the
end of this period, if there are no fine/overdues on your card,
the two-item limit will be removed.
Your
first card is free. If you lose your library card, the
first replacement is $1.00. Each additional replacement is
$5.00.
Library
cards must be renewed every three years and can be used in all branches
of the Mifflin County Library. Your Mifflin County card may also be used throughout the
consortium and in any Pennsylvania library that participates in ACCESS PA.
